I'd like to be able to build a product package from a dieline created in Illustrator, fold it along specific lines, give it a UV gloss on parts, add foiling and embossing where required.5 votes
Thanks for the suggestion! I’d love to know more about what people think about this as it’s something we’ve explored at a high level. Would you expect to edit the dyeline at all or have smart object linking with Illustrator, etc?
Import 3d Models from a other Projekt Felix file (asd.)6 votes
Definitely something that would be useful is having a merge scene/document action. :) Thanks for the suggestion!
When dragging a pic from the Finder, for example, PF could ask the user how to use the image. The current version just uses it as background image and that's that. What if I want to use it as texture for an object?1 vote
Great suggestion, something we’ve thought about as well. We’d like to make it contextual so where you drop it has input on what happens as well.
Low opacity window in window showing keyboard shortcuts3 votes
Just to clarify, you’re asking for some sort of pop-over window that you can bring up to look at all the keyboard shortcuts for the app, right? This is something we’ve talked about internally and I think would be really helpful!
How about isolation mode like illustrator for dealing with complex grouped objects? The wand tool is a bit clunky.1 vote
Great suggestion, this is something we’ve been considering.
I have noticed minor issues with my imported obj models that require a quick adjustment to the geometry in Blender 3D. However, when I go to reopen the Felix project, the changes are not reflected, meaning that Felix doesn't seem to be refreshing the model when a project is reopened. It would be nice to have a "Reload Geometry" button to facilitate updating the model to reflect new adjustments.1 vote
Interesting suggestion! Currently when you import a file it’s creating a duplicate that’s embedded in the document and has no connection to the original file at all. Something we can definitely explore.
Ideally I would like to be able to work and render at the same time. So consider have a separate tab or window for the render. This way I can render high quality in the background, while working on a new model, scene, etc in the foreground.8 votes
Thanks for the suggestion! Definitely something that would help fill up those render times, and something we’re considering!
Add ability to export video format files will allow to use video files as textures.
The idea is: allow to cover objects with video textures and make them dynamic.1 vote
Puppet warp tool: would allow to deform objects easily.1 vote
Interesting! Thanks for the suggestion. :)
Integration with Premiere (or After Effects) to place 3D objects in stereoscopic (or mono) 360 videos.1 vote
Is there any way to share directly from the Render screen, or poast rendering rather. I thin that might be a nice to have rather than saving it out and then having to share it from somewhere else seperately.1 vote
I’d love to know what kind of sharing you’d like. Do you mean saving to a cloud service like CC Assets, Dropbox, Google Drive? Do you mean sharing to Instagram, Facebook? Would you want the raw file or a link to a file?
My 5 year old Mac has been rendering for two hours and has done only 4% of a 2000 x 1200 pixels image with no more than 4 objects. Maybe an overview would be nice, showing supported machines with examples of render time, based on a simple lay-out in comparising with a complex lay-out1 vote
This is a really interesting suggestion and something we’ve been considering. There are so many combinations of hardware that it’s hard to do a general overview. However, we are adding information about what types of things impact render times. The primary things are:
Also, effects like reflections or lots of objects bouncing light off each other, etc. There will definitely be more as we expand our features.
Sure it is on the radar, but exporting for Apple's ARKit would be a good move.3 votes
Thanks for the suggestion! There’s a lot going on with AR/VR we’re keeping tabs on.
If there's a way to create a sculpt mode where the model was more like clay that would be extremely useful for more organic shapes. A great example of what I'm talking about is Mudbox. It would probably need to support tablets first. It would also be great to have this feature connected to CC brushes etc.2 votes
Thank you for the suggestions! Creation is a large topic and something we’re tracking holistically, but sculpting is a great specific format that’s really interesting.
It would be really nice to be able to use a pinch-zoom feature on my mouse pad, much like I can in Illustrator and like-products.1 vote
would be great to import multiple OBJ files into a project. ;)1 vote
Thanks for the suggestion!
When you apply a spherical HDRI image to the background, there should be an option to unfreeze the image so when you orbit, the background changes with it.
additionally, if an HDRI is chosen, it would be handy to have sliders in the options bar that allow you to change the image rotation, and scale. See attached concept3 votes
Thanks for the suggestion. We’re adding an option to use the IBL as the background, but sounds like you want to use a seperate spherical background image, correct?
The ability to animate the camera to move over time. Moving by keyframe or along a path in 3D space.2 votes
Orthographic projection for camera in the camera properties1 vote
All objects on a canvas are rendered as one PSD layer only. This is not good, pardon me, but it can be annoying to work with the selection tool for each and every object and detail when wanting to change sth in Photoshop.
(I noticed there was this topic already, yet closed for insuffucient support, I can hardly imagine that there are only two people requesting it.)2 votes
I think that one was closed because there was no description confirming that it was talking about layers in the PSD render. Your thoughts are much clearer! :)
This is something we’ve heard frequently actually and we are investigating.
